David Thayne (Becket Court, Canterbury, September 2010): The change to Tyler Court was much appreciated. I will certainly use the university accommodation on my next visit to Canterbury as the location and facilities are ideal. The 7 day bus ticket is very good value for money and would be an advantage if included on the web site. When travelling from northern Scotland by public transport via London, the rail links to Canterbury are excellent and should also be high-lighted.
Mr Lee Beecham (Becket Court, Canterbury, March 2010): Staff on site were helpful, rooms were clean and tidy and breakfast was good, overall a good weekend...
Mrs M E DORMER (Becket Court, Canterbury, February 2010): A very satisfactory experience, and one we would be happy to repeat.
Our thanks to everyone involved, both on-line and at Becket court.
Myra Fowler (Becket Court, Canterbury, February 2010): Most interesting to be able to come and stop in a university during the Summer holiday. I did not realise it was possible to do this. Would definitely do it again.
Jillian Wilkinson (Becket Court, Canterbury, September 2009): I am very pleased to have stayed in the University of Kent - the accommodation was comfortable, with easy access to the town of Canterbury, and to Whitstable on the buses, leaving my car safely parked on site. Breakfast somewhat disappointing - maybe because the toaster was broken! Thank you very much.
Jim Hughes (Park Wood Courts, Canterbury, August 2010): Overall it was a great time and the accommodation was really good. The only suggestion I could make would be to supply a few spare pillows for the older members of the party.
Many thanks
Jim
Richard Selby (Park Wood Courts, Canterbury, August 2010): We enjoyed our stay, but would have appreciated a briefing / info sheet at the start of the stay about some of the quirkier aspects of the house. E.g. the burglar alarm that goes off if you leave the kitchen door open; the on/off switch for the cooker hidden behind the microwave.
Was it just me, but I found the 'WARNING - THEFT ALERT - LOCK EVERYTHING ' sign in the kitchen somewhat unsettling, given the broken window locks.
A few more kitchen utensils, eg a potato peeler would have been good too.
Mr Richard J Graham (Park Wood Courts, Canterbury, July 2010): Perfect for our family needs for a short stay - many thanks. The house was very clean and tidy.
Taymans Jonathan (Park Wood Courts, Canterbury, February 2010): It was perfect, we had place enough for the family.
The children are asking to come back
Mr Ian Ellison (Rutherford College, Canterbury, August 2011): would recommend to all my family and friends, great location and value for money. Breakfast choice was exceptional
Ms Phyllis Fisher (Rutherford College, Canterbury, August 2011): I felt every consideration for my stay was thoughtfully and individually given. Staff were nicely approachable and proactive in making my stay as comfortable as possible. The lack of being excellent simply due to limits of student accommodation. Thank you for a really good break.
Miss Marie-Lyne Bouthot (Rutherford College, Canterbury, June 2011): Friendly staff
Mike Yates (Rutherford College, Canterbury, September 2010): Staff were very helpful, and the room was clean and very good vfm. However the toilet was rather dilapidated (flaking paint and poor ventilation). Also the window in the room only opened a small amount so ventilation in the room was also poor (on a very hot day) - perhaps the air conditioning was not working. However I will be recommending this to others as excellent budget accommodation for the single traveler. Thanks to you all.
Jodi Meyer-Mork (Rutherford College, Canterbury, August 2010): The dorm room was very comfortable. Venting in the bathroom area is needed as it always smelled unpleasant. The breakfast offered had a variety of foods. The office personnel were especially helpful. I also liked the walking access to the city centre!
Alan Tutt (Rutherford College, Canterbury, August 2010): Only one moan, the young summer school kids were noisy outside, which is fair enough as they are having fun but on the Thursday night this went on until after 12
edward matlock (Rutherford College, Canterbury, July 2010): Dinners were self sevice and main meals cost £4.50
to £5 but on the whole good value with a good choice.
Ary van Wijnen (Rutherford College, Canterbury, March 2010): We had a very pleasant stay at Canterbury and everything was alright, pleasant and well organised
Lachevre (Rutherford College, Canterbury, March 2010): That was very pleasant and I was lucky to have a room with the view on Canterbury.
Among the information you provide, could add the opening hours of the reception desk ? It could very useful. Thank you very much.
Neil Ford (Rutherford College, Canterbury, February 2010): Thankyou, I enjoyed my stay at the univercity, I found it to be very good value for money although the staff were not over friendly. As i needed a place to stay in difficult circumstances it was very useful.
Neville Holden (Rutherford College, Canterbury, February 2010): I would consider booking this location again.
Robin Appleton (Rutherford College, Canterbury, February 2010): It would be helpful to know how far the accommodation is from the train station and the frequency of public transport to the site. As well in Canterbury the signage in the building was unclear as to where the accommodation was to be foound.
Christina Renczes (Rutherford College, Canterbury, February 2010): very cheap and very nice!
Mrs MJ Young (Rutherford College, Canterbury, July 2009): Beautiful setting lovely views of Canterbury. Room was just as expected, basic but clean and comfortable. One slight glitch as one of rooms had a faulty lock and my friend was unable to get out in morning! Apart from that really good experience. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.
Colin Bytheway (Rutherford College, Canterbury, July 2009): Really great place to stay
Miss jocelyne scortatore (Tyler Court, Canterbury, August 2011): i would have liked a radio in my room. Otherwise everything was OK.
isabel paradeda (Tyler Court, Canterbury, September 2010): very nice thanks
Geoff Davis (Tyler Court, Canterbury, August 2010): Great campus with views of the Cathedral. Nice en suite room, very quiet. Recommend the Gulbenkian cinema and associated cafe.
Mr W.D.Roberts (Tyler Court, Canterbury, August 2010): I stayed at Kent University for two weeks in August 2010. Everything was excellent - excellent accommodation and excellent food. The only thing which I did not like were the doors in the accommodation block - they were all fire doors and tended to be noisey on closing. Many thanks to the Universoty of Kent. It is a pity that more people do not know about the excellent accommodation which universities provide.
dr.marianne t cronin (Tyler Court, Canterbury, July 2010): very well organised.excellent .
