Dating back to 1830, when it was originally built as a private home, in true Victorian Gothic style, Abbots Barton became a hotel in 1927 and has since expanded to its present size. The hotel is owned and operated by Castlewood Hotels, a small family run hotel group based in the South East of England.

The Fountain Restaurant serves a seasonal menu of modern British fayre using locally and ethically sourced ingredients where possible, complemented by a comprehensive wine list and a range of after dinner liqueurs.

Adjoining the bar, the Garden Room and library offer comfortable surroundings to enjoy a relaxing drink, including Fair Trade and organic hot beverages or a meal from the popular bar snack menu.
